The Memorial & Labor Day Folk Dance Weekends (FDW) events are one long happening heaven for dancers, nature lovers, and campers. These multi-day events are open for anyone who would is respectful to nature, open for different cultures, love children, and enjoy music and dances. You may come for an hour, a day, or the entire weekend. The weekends are well suitable for the entire family – including the non-dancers family members. For the non-dancers we have life music, hiking trails, grep nature spots for reading and journaling, and simply relax in nature.

Specific details about the weekends are published prior to the weekend via flyers. The flyers provide directions, phone number to call in case of questions and over all instructions. Please print and bring the flyer with you so you will know the way.

Event Preparations

Once you come to the land, you will notice a very organized area. The facilities, the kitchen, fire extinguishers, the sound system – all taken care of by volunteers. Cliff conducts workdays prior to the events where volunteers assist in preparing the space, clearing the road, connecting the water system, setting up the sound system, etc. If you are interested in participating/helping in the setups of these wonderful weekends please let us know!
